Jeremy Gilpin

Jeremy Gilpin has over 20 years of experience in guaranteed lending, having closed and serviced over $3 billion in loans through USDA and SBA programs. He currently leads the Greater Commercial Lending team and chairs the board of Community Bankshares, Inc., focusing on lending to underserved and rural areas. Jeremy has held senior roles at Greater Nevada Credit Union and several Midwest banks, and served as a U.S. Army personnel officer. He is also an active volunteer with the Special Olympics and has held leadership positions with the National Rural Lenders Association, advocating for rural financing solutions.

Chris Hurn

Chris Hurn has over 23 years of experience in commercial lending, specializing in SBA loan programs. He has closed over $28.81 billion in commercial loans and was involved in funding 287,710 PPP loans totaling $4.72 billion, saving approximately 430,000 jobs. A three-time SBA Financial Services Champion and Inc. 500 honoree, Hurn was also the sixth most active PPP lender in 2021. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including “CEO of the Year” by the Orlando Business Journal and a finalist for the 2022 EY Entrepreneur of the Year award. Hurn is also an active angel investor and business advocate.

Steve Jefferies

Steve Jefferies joined Community Bank & Trust in March 2022, bringing over 38 years of extensive experience in leadership roles within financial institutions and credit unions. Throughout his career, he has developed a robust expertise in credit management, commercial lending, and government-guaranteed lending programs. Known for his strategic approach and dedication to delivering results, Steve is committed to helping businesses and individuals achieve their financial goals while strengthening the communities he serves.

Thomas Kimsey

Thomas Kimsey is President and CEO of Thomas USAF Group, overseeing a $200 million annual loan portfolio. With over 30 years of experience in USDA and SBA lending, he has built a strong reputation for driving profitability and identifying new markets. Thomas excels in leveraging government-guaranteed loan programs and maintains strong relationships with USDA officials to provide exceptional service. He serves on the Loan Committee and Board of Directors of Capital Partners Certified Development Corporation and was President of the National Rural Lenders’ Roundtable in 2020, advocating for rural lending on Capitol Hill.

Mark Lewis

Mark Lewis is a private business executive and attorney with over 25 years of experience across various industries. He currently owns multiple businesses and advises companies on strategic growth. From 2012 to 2016, Mark served as the NCAA’s Executive Vice President for Championships and Alliances, where he led significant partnerships, sponsorships, and revenue growth. Previously, he was president of Jet Set Sports and vice president of sponsorship at NBC. Mark also held leadership roles at the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee and the International Olympic Committee. He holds degrees in accounting and law from the University of Georgia.

Jeffrey Smith

Jeffrey Alan Smith is an experienced executive with over 20 years in healthcare and finance. He currently serves as President and CEO of One Direct Health Network and CEO of Restor Metabolix. Jeff previously led Amendia, Inc., growing revenues from $2.9 million to over $82.5 million and spearheading Vivex Biomedical’s spin-off. With expertise in M&A, investment management, and healthcare innovation, he has earned recognition such as Deloitte’s Tech Fast 500 and Georgia Manufacturers of the Year. A University of Georgia graduate, Jeff is committed to advancing patient outcomes and enjoys spending time with his family.
